Conference Overview

The Children’s Cove Champions for Children Conference is an informative and innovative multidisciplinary conference offering workshops presented by many nationally recognized experts in the field of child abuse, including sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, domestic violence, trafficking and exploitation, and prevention. The Champions for Children Conference is one of the premiere child maltreatment conferences in the country and will provide professionals in the field with extensive and innovative insight to assist child victims and families in their community. This conference is not affiliated with other conferences using the same or similar names.

Above and Beyond for Children Award

Since 2010, Children’s Cove awards deserving individuals or agencies with the Above and Beyond for Children Award at our annual Champions for Children Conference. This award is given to individuals who show dedication and commitment to protect children on the Cape and Islands.

Who Should Attend

The conference is conducted for the sole purpose of providing training to only those people who work directly with child victims of crime, whose intent is to help children in their healing process, and who are employed by governmental and nonprofit agencies in the fields of law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, social work, children’s advocacy, therapy, probation and medicine. Those who do not work in the fields stated above, may not attend the training unless the respective company is supporting the conference through sponsoring or exhibiting. Registration for this event requires all participants to indicate the agency or organization they work for, and a valid organizational email address must be provided. If there are concerns regarding any registrants information they may be contacted and / or removed from the conference at the will of hosts of the conference.
